Brief description: In today’s digital environment international marketing teams are investing more in online activities for recruitment, but are they measuring the outcomes properly? This workshop will focus on the digital skills needed to attract, nurture and convince students to enroll at your institution. This includes: creating well-structured campaigns; hints on designing high converting landing pages; mobile browser optimization; community creation on Facebook; utilizing customer relationship management (CRM) tools and marketing automation systems, utilizing new technologies such as virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), tracking, analysis and ROI comparisons by channel.
Topics to be covered include: Optimized web design with essential conversion activities; mastering Google Analytics; establishing goals for measurement; marketing automation tools; nurturing and engaging potential students; the role of mobile and AR/VR technologies; and how to use available analytical tools to measure success by channel.
Objectives/ learning outcome: On completion of this workshop you will be able to: understand the basics of creating successful online campaigns; understand the basics of A/B testing; utilize Google Analytics in full without the help of your IT team; understand the difference between CRM tools and marketing automation systems; learn about Facebook’s engagement algorithm; learn about how you can utilize AR & VR technologies for recruitment; and plan for the skills, tools and resources required for implementation of these solutions at your institution.
Target audience: This workshop is aimed at university and college staff with the following responsibilities: international marketing and recruitment; marketing and communications; web design and analytics; and international admissions.
